Employment Training Programs
YWCA Metro Vancouver
YWCA LEADS program offers specialized employment services for survivors of violence and/or abuse. Participants receive support in group and individual sessions for a period of up to 12 weeks. The program assists participants in finding and maintaining employment, economic sustainability and enhancing wellness through five pathways:

Battered Women's Support Services
AWARE helps women move out of the cycle of trauma and violence through employment. The program helps women to identify their skills, interests, and to develop personal and career goals. AWARE helps women alleviate isolation, learn, and grow together in a classroom setting. The AWARE Program Curricula contains the following components:

This award assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects.
