Resource Directory for Seniors Services
Hollyburn Family Services Society
The Hollyburn Seniors at Risk Housing outreach program provides assistance to seniors 55+ that are homeless, or at risk of losing their housing (eg. facing an eviction notice). This includes seniors with complex needs around health, mental health, addictions, elder abuse, and financial management. Outreach workers assist seniors with a housing search, filling in applications, connecting them with other services, as well as any other assistance needed to achieve housing stabilization. The work is individualized and time intensive, as it usually takes up to three months to stabilize the crisis situation for each client.
